Shenzhen Bay Labs Institute of Biomedical Engineering is actively involved in a series of international-level biomedical imaging technology projects, and aims to create revolutionary technology for life science and medical applications. The institute has brought together a group of scientists from internationally renowned institutions. Professor Qiushi Ren is a distinguished professor of the National Education Minister Chang Jiang Scholar and a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund; an adjunct professor at the Ohio State University, USA, and a visiting professor at the University of Heidelberg, Germany; and has been the principal scientist in multiple national research projects. The team has long-term research and development experience in innovative medical and research device, such as PET/CT and multimodal small animal imaging technology that integrates PET, SPECT, FMI and CT into the same system. Therefore, radiopharmaceutical and multimodal medical imaging probes are part of our current research focus. The team plans to provide a high-tech platform integrating scientific research, technology development and personnel training through multimodal imaging facility construction, serving the needs of life sciences, clinical care, biomedical research etc.
